Public DocsBarcelonaDocsBarcelona International Documentary Film Festival, which will go from January 28 through February 1, is back for its third year aiming to offer again a selection of top-quality and captivating documentary films.

The Barcelona documentary festival is a mandatory event not only for documentary film lovers, but for the general public who wants to enjoy the most diverse true stories. Over the course of four days, a large number of documentary films will be screened along with introductions by the directors of each. In previous editions, international filmmakers of great stature, such as Bob Conolly, Alain Cavalier, Krzysztof Kopczynsky, Jean-Louis Comolli, and professionals from our own country, like as Carles Bosch or Joan Soler, answered the public’s questions. By bringing the viewer and filmmaker closer together, DocsBarcelona continues to be faithful to its spirit of being a key point of encounter, exhibition and debate in the contemporary audiovisual sphere.

Through a wide-ranging program, this year DocsBarcelona presents a new section: Doc Doc Doc!, a space dedicated to the first works of new young filmmakers. This new section has been added to the offer of Panorama, Le Dernier Repas, Historia, 12-16, Catalan Day and Xtra. All the sections are programmed by professionals of the genre and are directed toward a diverse audience, offering a wide-range of possibilities that reflect the state and trajectory of the contemporary documentary filmmaking.
