Josep Maria Aragonés. With vast experience as a post-producer and technical artistic director, since 2004 Josep Maria Aragonés has been the founding member and director of Apuntolapospo S.L.U, a company specialising in post-production for advertising, cinema, television and stereoscopic 3D, as well as digital image and sound processing. He is also the founder of the company Digital Innovations Systems, which develops digital image processing systems.
Aragonés is a member of different cinema-related institutions, including the European project “IMP” (Investigation of Metadata for Post-production), the European Film Academy, and the Experts’ Committee of INCOLA, among others, and additionally teaches at the Pompeu Fabra University and the ESCAC (Film and Audiovisual School of Catalonia).
His professionalism has earned him countless nominations and awards, including the Gaudí Award for Best Special Effects for Eskalofrío (2009), the Sant Jordi Prize to the Most Innovative Company (2008) and the Goya Award for Best Special Effects for Buñuel y la mesa del Rey Salomón (2002). This year, he has received Gaudí Award nominations for Viatge Màgic a Àfrica and El Gran Vázquez.
