interDocsBarcelona is the interactive and transmedia documentary section of DocsBarcelona.
A professional meeting to understand, disseminate, create, finance and exhibit the interactive documentary.
This section includes the following activities:
Conference: focused on the international sphere, with talks on transmedia creation and storytelling, and significant case studies. Projects, experiences and initiatives of Spanish field are also presented. Each year the conference focuses on a specific thematic area.
The first keynotes confirmed for next conference are: Liz Rosenthal(Power to the Pixel), David Dufresne, Anita Hugi (SRF), Emilie Bessard (ARTE France), Fernando Irigaray (UNR), Brenda Logfellow(York University) y Mike Robbins. Check all the keynoters speakers of this edition.

Interactive Pitch: a presentation of interactive projects looking for financing. A presentation of interactive projects in front a selection of financers, especially interested in this kind of projects, and DocsBarcelona accredited professionals.
Deadline to submit projects ended on Thursday, March 3rd 2016, 1.00 p.m. (UTC+1).
Interactive Pitch Workshop: Addressed to all the directors and producers with a project selected for the Interactive Pitch, to work on their projects and improve their pitching and presentation skills so they have the best opportunity for a successful meeting with broadcasters and funders and improve your chances of financing your documentary. Given by David Dufresne. Observers are admitted.
Interactive prototypes Workshop: intensive workshop to produce interactive documentary prototypes. Two intense days of immersion with multidisciplinary groups to produce webdocs prototypes and present them at the end to vote for a winner. The winning team gets a software license for a multimedia editor (Klynt) for each group member and can be chosen to present the prototype at next year’s conference.

A guided navigation of the authors of an interactive documentary is performed and then a debate is proposed to explain aspects of their production.
Exhibition “Seguir con vida”: Metges sense Fronteres presents #Seguirconvida the itinerant exhibition within DocsBarcelona. It is very difficult to get into the skin of others, especially those who try to survive an armed conflict. This is precisely the aim of the exhibition#Seguirconvida of MSF, approached the lives of the refugees through a unique immersive virtual reality.
InterDocsBarcelona Meeting Point is the meeting place for the community of professionals interested in interactive and transmedia documentary in Barcelona. Organised in collaboration with Altaïr Magazine, InterDocsBarcelona Meeting Point is held regularly up in Altaïr bookshop in Barcelona (Gran Via, 616).
In each session, activities related to transmedia and interactive documentary are organised (presentations of papers, case studies, projects in development, financing strategies and ways to attract audiences) and a special guest is invited.
On June 29th, the first presentation session took place with the presence of Alex Badia, co-founder of Barret Films, who talked about his new project in a conversation with Arnau Gifreu, interDocsBarcelona coordinator. Among other guests, Daniel Gonzalez (Be another Lab), Alejandro Touriño (Écija), Gemma Rodriguez (Gueparins), Laura Piaggio (piaggiodematei) and Xavier Satorra (Visuals Suspects) have been invited.
