Women filmmakers: new directions and perspectives in documentary films

DocsBarcelona opens and closes with two films directed by women. Moreover, almost 50% of the films programmed are directed by women or explore female characters and stories.

We invite 4 women filmmakers to share their experiences and to reflect on the role of women directors, increasingly important and relevant, in the documentary film industry.

This round table will be moderated by Debra Zimmerman, Executive Director of Women Make Movies, a world leading organization for the production, promotion and distribution of films directed by and about women.
