Polish director Piotr Stasik paints an intimate portrait of a city and its people. A real display of expressivity using minimal resources. The camera lenses are only half-fixed to allow in unexpected rays of light that give the image a dreamlike quality. Filming without permits and with a very limited crew, he manages to capture the array of bittersweet emotions of today’s world.
Piotr Stasik studied Sociology at the University of Warsaw and he also completed a documentary course at the Wajda School. He is the co-founder of the Association for Artistic Initiatives ‘ę’, an NGO supporting cultural undertakings in small towns. His recent films include Diary of a Journey and The Last Day of Summer. He is currently working on Opera about Poland.
