Palmares DocsBarcelona 2019

Honeyland, Excellent portrait of the rural Macedonia and a call for the preservation of the ecosystem, obtains the DocsBarcelona TV3 award. The emotional fight of minor transgenders in Me llamo Violeta conquer the public and International Amnistia award.

 

The award of the official Latitud section, dedicated to the production in the Iberian peninsula and Latin-America, has been given to Cachada, by the Spanish Marlén Viñayo: based in El Salvador and graduate from ESCAC, the filmmaker follows a group of gender violence victims who find the way to get rid of their demons through theatre.

 

The heterodox section What the Doc!, which focuses on risk and innovation, has awarded Lapü, from the Colombian Juan Pablo Polanco and César Alejandro Jaimes

 

The 22nd edition of the festival, with 12.500 spectators, registers a 7% public growth.
