Petitet, opening film at DocsBarcelona 2018 and Audience Award at the festival, celebrates this Wednesday June 6th, a very special premiere at Gran Teatre del Liceu.
Petitet will arrive at cinemas on June 8th with DOCSBARCELONA DISTRIBUTION, after opening the 21st edition of DocsBarcelona 2018 on May 16th, and winning the Audience Award. The new documentary of Carles Bosch, director of Bicicleta, cullera, poma and Oscar nominee in 2003 for Balseros, follows the gypsy musician Joan Ximénez Petitet, son of one of Peret’s palmeros, in a journey to bring catalan rumba to the stage of a great theatre.
Premiere at Liceu
Before being commercially released, Petitet will precisely stop by the Liceu in a magnificent premiere of the film, which will count on the presence of the crew of the film and its protagonists, including Petitet, will be attending. It will be an exceptional screening that will open the path for the commercial release of this production by Lastor Media (10.000 KM, Tierra firme, Serrat Sabina: el símbolo y el cuate, Priorat), Vilaüt Films, Turkana Films (La vida lliure) and TVC with the participation of Movistar+, TVC and Grífols, and the support of ICAA and ICEC.
